Youre not wrong, i enjoy silicon valley too. I still wish he could put it on hold and give us some more King of the hill, if anything just one last season. The final season he left us with ended okay, bobby finally won something and hank was proud, and khan and hank finally connected, but i feel like hanks views on today's world would be great. The whole MySpace episode was a prime example of this. I wanna see how hank would deal with social media, and technology now that its such a large part of the world now.

King of the Hill was really good until about season 7 when they stopped caring about developing the characters and took a more traditional sitcom storytelling route. It was still a good show but it became clear their best days were behind them when they had Ben Stiller play a wacky new Strickland employee who would obviously get fired by the end of the episode. But like I said this didn't kill the show and there were still great episodes like Megalo Dale and Pigmalion. The show really began trying my patience around season 9-10 when they rewrote Peggy's backstory and changed her mother to a no-nonsense farmhand when Mrs. Platter had been a recurring character before. Didn't care for it. Still, the episodes were fine and watchable albeit more streamlined and predictable. It got to the tipping point when Lucky came about. I love Tom Petty but I was not a fan of his character and what he did to Luanne, turning her character into something that she definitely wouldn't be around seasons 1-6.
But even with all of these problems, the show still ended its 13 season run with dignity. That's more that can be said for any of its contemporaries which are still running.
PS the best episodes were the ones where the Hills got involved with drugs.

With all that post 90s teen angst floatin around in Movies, and TV Shows then, it is refreshing to see Old Man Angst and cynicism often seen in this show.

The older I get, the more I appreciate this show. Whether it was a tasteful jab at conservative families, or an actual animated program centered around an endearing and realistic Republican lifestyle, it doesn't matter - it was a great show.
One of the only animated sitcoms that, when it realized it was starting to go downhill, said "Okay, that's enough" and finished with a heartwarming series finale and closed the book. I don't count the episodes after To Sirloin, With Love. I think those were "lost episodes" or some shit.
But all-in-all, if you don't like King of the Hill, you're an idiot.Also, Home Movies. And since Bob's Burgers is the lovechild of KOTH and Home Movies, that too.
