Fun fact: The producers were aware of this so up until Brosnan every time they switched actors they included a scene with the deliberate intention of telling the audience explicitly that it's still the same guy but you would actually have to watch these movies to know that.

Because Dalton's goldeneye set the serious bond idea in the public, Brosnan gets better scripts before ending it with Everything or nothing the movie
