You've watched two weird episodes. Most of the others aren't so far out.

maybe it sends the message to NEETs that happiness is within our grasp.
It's an optimistic message. Nathan wants us to see what heights we are capable of, he does it all For You

In the finale there was the scene where he had to satisfy his grandparents concerns without alerting them to the fact that he was an imposter, so he stood outside there window with a megaphone. Do you think that was real? Did two old people really buy that set up?
>>
>>63589554
Dude, none of it's real, come on
>>
>>63589628
What do you mean 'non of its real', like to what degree of fake do you think it is? Do you think Corey wasnt a real guy who was put into a trailer for two weeks? Do you think Nathan didnt really train tight rope walking for 7 months and didnt really complete the stunt? Do you think Jasmine was just an actress?

my favorite episode, this really drove home the conflated hypertrophy of despair and comedy. i got the feels from it.
>>
I just saw this in a feels thread on /gif/ and holy shit I regret not watching this show now.
>>
>>63589744

I dont. You know that.

I know Im an anonymous person on the internet, but I am pretty socially skilled, and Ive been through some really interesting and valuable social experiences, both professional and personal.

Normal people are pretty dupeable. People just arent that suspicious. They arent critical or brave. They dont stand up for themselves when put in difficult circumstances. Everything about that show seems plausible.

So, basement dwelling closeted BBC fetishists who have never spoken to a woman in real life? Got it.

Holy kek, what a fucking autist.
>>
>>63590088

I met up with a guy from /pol/ yesterday. He was in his mid thirties and married to a white woman.
>>
>>63589554
no one in that scenario is going to jump to the conclusion someone is impersonating their loved one in pounds of movie makeup and went through the trouble of recording lines for that specific conversation.

Yeah! Exactly.

>>63590111
What? Whats autismo about that?

>>63590218
Thats not a real use of the word is it? Ive only heard it in the context of stimulating muscle growth.
>>
>>63590328
why would it not be a real use? it's a word, the entire point is that it's malleable and not locked to a particular usage. a concept can be hypertrophied if its gives way to its negation, for example.
>>
>>63589082
fuck, that was the finale? It was amazing, but I was hoping for at least 10 episodes.
>>
>>63590356

>why would it not be a real use?

Because the word is used to refer to a really specific phenomenon of muscle tissue. Stop being autistic, Im not trying to make some claim about the objectivity of word meaning. That was a wrong use of that word, and you have no basis for believing someone like me would understand what you mean. I still have no idea what you meant.
>>
He's gonna get you.
>>
>>63588999
Why's she so cute bros
>>
Why did he start crying?
>>
>>63592328

Because he's socially incapable like Cory is/was, but let him take the rewards of what he personally did. It's a joke, he's pretending to live vicariously through the autist.
>>
>>63588904
>>
>>63590088

if only it would be so easy, anon

>>63590139
Did he fuck your boypussy? What'd you guys meet up for?
>>
>>63589628
uh its all real dude
>>
>>63590588
If you can't understand words can mean different things in different contexts then you're the one being autistic. Faggot means different things.
>>
>>63588904

I think the pig episode and Dumb Starbucks has proven twice over that there's a level of realism to the show.

You can also look up local news articles about the shit he's done.

Aside from the cameras making people act differently and his facilitating of some of the events, the reactions and scenarios are as real as they could get on television.
>>
>>63590097
pol was right again
>>
>>63593360

Me and a few other guys are kind of growing a local 4chan meet up group. We just met to hang out at a bar.
