I spent a day and a half in country jail and played basketball with some black guys. That was fun.
Worst thing about jail is everyone wants to spill their life stories. Had to listen to this mexican dude talking bout how this was a wake-up call and was going to give him a chance to rehab from his pain med addiction he would get from his mom, and that when he gets out he's totally going to be a better father to his baby daughter. I'm sitting there trying to pretend like I give a fuck but in reality I just want to watch Nicolas Cage's Ghost Rider while I wait for bail.

Every scene has something to chew on. There isn't a single moment in this movie where I'm bored or disinterested.
Also the casting for the child actors was impeccable. Every time I watch this there is no doubt in my mind that the kid who played young Henry is Ray Liota's younger self, same goes for younger Tommy's actor.

Casino has the better characters. Nicky alone is better than any character from Goodfellas. Nicky has the better persona/personality, better lines, better scenes, more gravitas, a better arc. And Frank Marino is the consummate #2, the OG through and through.
