The prequels are garbage. Even if there wasn't an original trilogy of movies that they're supposed to support, they'd still be terrible. But if you want to watch Darth Maul in action, The Phantom Menace is the least atrocious of the three. And when I was 11 when I first saw this, I thought the scenes with Darth Maul were fucking cool as hell. So take that as you will.
