Prometheus. Ex Machina was okay but not as good and Interstellar was carried by it's cinematography, and was only successful in spite of it's shitty writing and dialogue
>>
>>63539010
Well we have two horrible turds and one good movie. Hard choice.

That's incredible! I can't. None of these movies are re-watchable.

prometheus

it has too many cool concepts for me to ignore, and I can nudge the flawed story in my head to; a bunch of incompetent fuckwads visit a planet of their maker and get their shit kicked in

the robot's alright though

>>63539010
This is a trick question.

Prometheus is an underrated throwback to new wave 70's/80's sci-fi with a god tier aesthetic, but has lame writing and nonsense story.

Ex Machina has fantastic acting and dialogue but its overarching themes are preachy and already done to death.

Interstellar has a real sense of scale that's lacking in most "epic" films with a bevy of creative setpieces, but is too far up its own ass and it's obvious that Christopher Nolan has no idea what he's doing with stories that are supposed to be emotional.

They're all interesting but flawed.

Prometheus. Not even a second thought.

Ex Machina is objectively the best but I have to go with interstellar since I fucking love space movies and 90% of those are shit unfortunately.

We had two good ones recently (interstellar and the martian) and I want more.

Disregard Prometheous. It had some neat production values but then it got straight up Lindeloffed.

Ex Machina's probably the better movie but interstellar was way more ambitious. I'd probably give it to ex machina but it's close.

Came here to post this.
>>
>>63539010
interstellar if you dont watch the last 20 minutes

otherwise ex machina
>>
>all this people picking prometheus
are you fucking serious? it was beyond horrible, it has no redeeming qualities whatsoever

Interstellar is 7/10
Ex Machina is 8/10
>>
>>63539010

Prometheus without question.
>>
Ex Machina
>>
I pick Ex Machina but I think Prometheus is still watchable. Interstellar is pretty shit. Prometheus gets a bad rap.
>>

all mediocre movies that gets circle jerked at reddit

mostly because it makes no fucking sense
i will wait for the sequel before shitting on it
>>

Interstellar was pretty stupid start to finish. The last 20 minutes was about on par with the rest.
>>
>>63543900

>>
>>63544060
At least it had good idea's, interstellar didn't make sense either. Nolan got his head too far up his ass.
>>
>>63539010
Ex Machina.

Is the better movie. This is not even debatable.
>>
>>63544098
>interstellar didn't make sense either
It makes perfect fucking sense. Now whether you like it or not is a different matter.
>>
>>63539561
Prometheus has more problems than that though. I'm a huge Alien series fan, and I can recognize the good elements, but the shitty plot is is a huge strike compared to the other two.

It's a choice between Interstellar and Ex Machina, and Interstellar probably wins due to the effects alone. I did like Ex Machina more though.
>>
>>63539761
I'm with this faggot
>>
>>63544155
It did get kinda nonsensical in the end.

Specially when they pulled the power of love bullshit in the end.
>>
>>63544155
Let me rephrase, it makes sense (barely) but it sucks. The only part in that movie that was pretty awesome to see was the docking scene and that was because the music. The scene itself wasn't actually that great. I feel the ending could have been much better and that's why I choose Prometheus and Ex Machina over it.
>>
>>63544168
>Interstellar probably wins due to the effects alone. I did like Ex Machina more though.

could you be any more /tv/
>>
>>63544227
>The only part in that movie that was pretty awesome to see was the docking scene and that was because the music.

I don't usually say this but that is a reddit opinion. Gravitating to meme scenes while the overall plot and themes go over your head.
>>
>>63543226
Intellectual themes? Like what? Asking where we come from?

If the movie actually delved into these questions rather than toss it out there and then make a basic horror movie, I'd agree.

But Prometheus is an intellectual dvd case on a $5 bin Walmart movie.
>>
>>63544155
Interstellar makes sense in that the movie just tells you why everything is happening at every stage and disregards science whenever convenient. it makes sense like Harry Potter movies where Dumbledore explains the plot to us at the end.
>>
>>63544229
Products of our environment, friend. Look where we are. Better than coming here and posting a banana.

I saw all 3 in theaters. I enjoyed Prometheus the most.

>>63539761
I disagree about Ex Machina being overdone already
It's the first Sci fi I've read or seen that has anything to do with our modern culture in relation to technology
>>
Can Prometheus lovers give me insight on these:

>where did the proto-facehugger gain the mass in that hospital pod thing.
>what was the point of having Weylen show up? What did it add?
>what was the point in having what's her face be Weylen's daughter, and why have the feud?
>WHAT IN THE FLYING FUCK IS THE LIFE CYCLE OF THE BLACK GOO/ALIEN? HOW IS IT ALL CONNECTED?
>why did those two faggots get lost, when one was the mapping guy?
>why did legit scientist test the fucking water by taking his helmet off?
>why is the Engineer so much smaller than in Alien?
>how did black guy from thor suddenly make the connection that the world was a weapons depot heading for earth?

Not trolling, would like serious answers.
>>
>>63544526
Wait for the sequels. They will either explain pull full Lost.
>>
>>63544581
I shouldn't have to wait 10 years for a sequel just to get answers to plot holes in a movie. That's like buying a book and when you open it, it's just the table of contents, gotta wait for the actual chapters to release.
>>
>>63544280
Name me any part from Interstellar that wasn't complete shit. It's Trash senpai

Anyone who thinks Interstellar is a well shot movie needs to re read The Emperor Has No Clothes.

Nolan didn't have his regular DP and it showed.
