Why are people from GoT getting acting roles? They can't even act well in GoT and they've had 6 seasons to get it right. Obviously this doesn't apply to people who have an established career before GoT.

Hollywood is trying to do the same thing it did with Band of Brothers. Pluck actors from a very popular and critically acclaimed show (remember, there is a world outside /tv/) and insert them into blockbusters.
The problem is that Band of Brothers required some acting skill, where GoT mostly has relatively inexperienced teenage actors.
