What's funny is that Disney really does have 'posters' trying to create hype and enthusiasm for their IPs on various social media platforms such as Twitter, Tumblr and Reddit. The executives at Disney have realized the value of 'going viral' and how that affects sales.
It's no coincidence that a lot of their IPs, no matter how lackluster they look (e.g. Jungle Book, Age of Ultron), get enthusiastic feedback/retweets/upvotes on those sites and proceed to earn lots of money. Of course, it doesn't always work, as is the case with Tomorrowland, but it's proven to be quite effective lots of times, too, so they'll stick with the plan for now.
