Can someone really tell me why they like this movie? It's just kinda cringe and boring

The Wolf of Wall Street is actually great but misunderstood
The Departed is great
Cape Fear is great

Travis is the 70's version of 4chan users.
He just didn't have 4chan to use.

Taxi Driver is generally considered /r9k/core, so take that as you will.

>It's just kinda cringe and boring
What a contentless opinion.

I don't think Taxi Driver is very good.
The atmosphere and Robert DeNiro is nice and all, but the story is all over the place, not to mention the ending is completely retarded (yes he survived the ending).
Taxi Driver was an amateur movie.

To add: i think that Raging Bull was Martin Scorcese first masterpiece. And not Taxi Driver.

>cringe
exactly. it's for people who can stand to watch The Office and Louie and Eastbound & Down.
I don't regret watching it, but I'm never watching it again.
Casino is Scorsese's best movie. Ace's High is one of the best things in any movie ever.

a norman wouldn't understand
>>63516883
Is it sad i agree?
>>63516851
i've seen all of louie and i generally like cringe, but there's a difference between watching a couple of minutes of cringe on youtube and watching "M'lady: The Movie" with a runtime of nearly 2 hours
>>63516851
how is eastbound & down cringe? also the only time I cringed in taxi driver was when he took iris to the porno theater
Taxi driver is one of my favourite films, I'll admit that it's kind of a babies Crime and Punishment though
>>63516431
>Cape Fear is great
>Shutter Island is good
>le cringe
when will this meme end? This is not a real feeling, you can't diss anything because you're "cringing hard lmao"
>>63517295
he hits on the girl at the porno booth right at the beginning. it's excruciating

I don't think they understand the emotions that come along with sympathizing or empathizing with a character's embarrassment. They give off vibes of "why would anyone do anything like that lmao" which is a typical normie viewpoint.
