I actually enjoy how the show has just turned into a running monologue of Parker and the writing staff. The show has been on for so long that they can't really craft separate episodes like they used to.
Honestly, the thing I pray for most for South Park is it gets cancelled because Parker needs to more onto bigger projects. Book of Mormon and Team America, even Baseketball and Orgazmo show that he has always been capable of producing great work. I'd even suggest that he has just stuck with South Park for so long because it is an "easy" way to get the message across, he needs to start over or come at everything from a different direction.

Southpark shines when they're courting a real controversy or political / social group in the real world they can make fun of in their show, its why (in my opinion) much of the last few seasons has been boring, i really don't give a fuck about SJWs but this PC frat brah stuff and this latest season just shows where they're at their best.
