I saw the first few seasons and just recently jumped ahead to s5 where my gf is at. It's more interesting than I gave it credit for, but im still dreading the shitty ending.

Second time, she really pollutes the show and you feel angry whenever she opens her face-cunt and starts talking.
Third time and you get visibly and violently upset if she so much as appears on the screen, and you pray that somebody will shove a coconut into her cunt.
She is just the worst. Impulsive, contrarian, disloyal fuckup cunt who never comes up with ideas of her own but is quick to criticize anyone else's plan. Her stupid cunt-driven decisions get people killed, ruin plotlines, taint other characters, and just generally turn the show into shit once you really start noticing the effect she has. I stopped after I realized the show lost the wind in its sails. There were so many episodes of nothing but group A walking blindly through the jungle, only to be held up at gun point by group B. Bonus points for group A somehow getting the upper hand on B. Ad infinitum.

It's not better than X-Files simply because at the very least X-Files had a number of Absolutely fantastic monster-of-the-week episodes and guest stars to mix things up. It never fulfilled it's promises though.
Lost is only good in the first season when everything is new and mysterious. As soon as you begin to realize nothing goes anywhere meaningful it all falls apart.
