Natural disaster movie thread?
I think i love this genre mostly for the slow build up. Emmerich does this well, as average as disaster films are i can't get enough
Earthquake
hurricane
Sharknado 2: Electric Boogaloo

>actual name of movie

Was San Andreas entertaining?

Do fire and water count as natural or am I stretching it too much? Anyway "Towering Inferno" and original "The Poseidon Adventure" are my recommendations. Second faves,
Twister
Into the Storm
Dante’s Peak
The Impossible

Yes, it was. Overdone, but entertaining.

The entire genre is boring and plebian tbqhwy family

I'd say any element can be a disaster movie. Twister is fantastic, watched that the other day. I love space ones like Deep impact. they are few and far between though.

>does water count as natural
What, you thought New Orleans got hit by super soakers in 2005?
>>63490420
Those two movies are more about retarded people getting themselves into the situation and not much about the natural aspect of it than nature simply calling in, "Fuck this area in particular," during the entire movie.

You know what movie I want? A movie or short serious take on the book, "Lucifer's Hammer".
I remember seeing Volcano in theaters and the sound cut out right near the end.
We got a refund.

C'mon meme magic do your thing.

>doesn't realize that Bush orchestrated Katrina with weather machines created by NASA

Either that or they had foreknowledge because of some future shit. Spooky shit how everything was picked up and moved the fuck out before there was anything at all to worry about then BAM disaster.

I'd pirate that. What would that even look like?
>>63490882
It would look like The Day After Tomorrow except everything would be orange instead of blue
>>63490944
They'd color wheel it up though. Blue and Orange in every scene.
GOAT

All the lava suits would be this color

I kinda respect the fact that Doritos and Mountain Dew know their market.
Check out Take Shelter, it's criminally underrated
