Post Shipfus
Steer me when I aim to misbehave
;_;
>>63487942
That ship looks acceptably aerodynamic that way, and then it just says "fuck that" and flies in the most retarded way possible.
>>63487984
Absolute fucking shit.
>>63487942
Too good a design for such a shit film.
>>63488013
>look at me im cool because i hate popular things
The Romulan bird of prey just got me right there as a kid.
>>63487942
It would have made some sense if it used the horizontal position while in the atmosphere due to it's aerodynamic shape, and the vertical position while in space to have some stronger propulsion.
>it's a "walking on the exterior of the hull" scene
my fucking dick
Come at me.
>>63488156
Muh nigga.
>>63488156
Oh damn, you can really see that the insides of the rooms are just photos of rooms in that. They were really asking a lot of that model.
>>63488156
This was an amazing scene.
However, I wonder how long it took them to get to the Deflector.
inb4 >>>/a/
>>63487984
Is it just me or did the ship in Prometheus look like a total rip off of this?
Underrated as fug, only showed up twice in the show though.
>>63488156
>>63488282
Which one is this?
>>63488337
Whatever you post, this is really more of an /m/ thread anyway...

It did look pretty cool though
>>63488475
mmm yes
>>63488493
whoops, oh well
easy come, easy go
>>63488493
God this movie looked so good. A shame about everything else.
OUTTA MY WAY
ORI FUCKING SHITS
>>63487984
Was never a fan of the appearance from outside, but the interior is comfy as fuck.
>>63488532
>brace for impact
>by spreading out your arms as wide and high as possible so that they're torn from your body as easily as possible when you impact
Smart.
>>63488397
First Contact
I preferred the TOS Enterprise for the longest time since it looks a bit more retro-hotrod, but as I've gotten older I've come to appreciate just how fucking comfy the Enterprise-D looks. The beige and brown always turned me off in the past, but now I just want to doze off on the bridge as the ambient engine noise lulls me to sleep.
>>63488602
the lovechild of an avocado pit and a coconut
>>63488557
thats kinda the point
she isnt a super model but she will always be there to shelter you from the storms
>>63488612
From what I remember (or rather haven't purged from my memory), they knew it was a death sentence and were just trying to take out that other ship. Not that I'm defending that piece of shit movie, mind you.
>>63488660
I thought it was cause the effects look more modern I remember they have the gunfight outside but for some reason this Enterprise reminds me more of the TOS era move designs.
>>63488397
Are you asking about the ship?
>>63488688
I always thought there was too much empty space on Enterprise D. It's a reoccurring problem with later Star Trek ships, there's so much unused surface.
Yall fagget
desu
>>63488688
I still love her.
Also that new CGI model they used from TNG-R S5 onward looks absolutely awesome – all the detail of the 4ft miniature but retaining the sleek proportions of the 6ft model (pic related).
>>63488744
Nah, it's the lean, mean Enterprise E.
>>63488688
>The beige and brown always turned me off in the past
I liked when they started leaning towards silver and black. Voyager had the best bridge.
>>63488770
good taste
>>63488744
The long nacelles were intended to be reminiscent of the refit movie Enterprise.
>>63488855
meh, that one looked like you could bump your shin everywhere.
>>63488688
Enterprise D was a luxury ship, its basically a space maybach with huge guns
It is the flagship after all, its the one you show off to the Romulans
It better be comfy
>>63488612
I thought it was a display of defiance. When you are killing yourself to protect the whole of Earth and Humanity, do you really want to be cowering and bracing when there is absolutely no chance in surviving? Again, I thought it was a fuck you to the engineers... With the rest of the movie being a fuck you to the audience.
This. All. Fucking. Day.
>>63489084
[cow siren intensifies]
This sexy beast. Too bad it got keked and soloed by a dumbass A-Wing

i love star wars, but in that fight they are Fucked
>>63489159
>no shields in Star Wars
I wish this meme would die.
>>63488440
>>63487872
Call me lame, but one reason I'm pretty excited about the expanse is that it seems they actually build capital ships in the books the only way they make sense: skyscraper turned on it's side. Thrust creating gs allowing for gravity while on the floors, modular design as efficient as possible, ZERO needs for any sort of aerodynamics due to never being in atmosphere. I bet they'll be ugly as hell, but makes sense.
>>63489255
To be honest op, the only bard part of the movie was the script, the actors, and the rubber dildo nightstick. I actually liked the premise and location. The actors were overdoing it though.
>>63488013
Why is your shipfu a penis

>>63489403
>>63489362
Agreed.
I've never liked the look of the Falcon, and I think its overrated.

>>63489516
>>63489564
I like the idea of the ship better than the design.
It looks a little too fragile.
I love my ships thick and beefy as fuck. Something that looks like it can take a hit without falling apart...yes I know the Nostromo broke something on landing, shut the fuck up bitch

>ship gets pregnant and FTL-jumps around like a retard because muh hormones
The DRDs were boss though
how has neither of the battlestars been posted yet? the pegasus is pure brilliance
Since we are just dumping ships. Here is a Honorverse ship.
Literally the only correct answer that isn't too mainstream but mainstream enough to be praised.
>>63490075
Very rarely in sci-fi shows do you hear "We can take the hits, they can't!" instead of "We can't take much more of this!"Though you did hear that in the very last episode after Galactica rammed the Colony and was getting hit by a billion missiles and guns a second.
That being said, Pegasus is GOAT too.
>>63490160
is that Logos?
>>63490133
>>63490075
>hadn't watched an episode in years
>go back and try to watch the whole series
>gets pretty bad during S3
Couldn't even make it to when they find 'Earth' the first time. Characters and decisions come across so forced, don't even get me started on the supernatural bullshit either. Shit ending to a pretty good show.
>>63490348
I watched it a couple of years ago but suddenly stopped halfway through the last season. Don't really know why and I've never picked up on it again.
>>63489262
He's right though.
Go fuck yourself for ruining anime discussion you weebaboo tea party loving trash.
>>63490348
eat shit nigga i bet you enjoy star trek where everything just magically solves it self with "super mega god science". George W Bush might have orchestrated 9/11 but compared to him he seems like a nice guy.
>>63490497
>George W Bush might have orchestrated 9/11 but compared to him he seems like a nice guy.
What?

>>63491032
Xenosaga had a lot of strange crap. Like a 7000 year old child.
>>63491223
Well if you're going to be 7000 years old, why would you want to be anything but a delicious loli?
>>63488201
Oh shit. That brings back a flood of uneasy nostalgia of being a kid at some random relative's house and this movie comes on. I can still smell the old shag carpeting and spilled soda. It was late at night and my friend and I were the only people up and it was snowing outside really heavily.
>>63488156
Trek fans, can you do this while a ship is in warp?
>>63492014
Probably, you're inside the warp field. I'm pretty sure I've seen an episode where they extend the warp field out around a whole other ship...
>>63491491
It was a boy. The loli girl was a robot, or a clone or something. I forgot.
>>63492094
A ghost anon...in factit was proto ElleThe other girl was yes, a Replicant.

I'm the opposite. I like the long fragile goose necks on ships like these.
>>63491936
Hammerhead shark?
>>63489516
>>63489564
I like the design- practical that it should have a detachable engine drive to separate crew compartment from the volatile engine/blackhole drive
>>63490160
the designs of the 'hovercraft' in the matrix was the one of the best parts of the sequels- it is otherwordly
Who /otherspace/ here?
>>63494754
The main reason I love the Whitestar is because of how its production is handled in the show. When it's first introduced it's treated as a super-special prototype, a sexy new ship for the main characters to fly around in that's way better than anything else of the same size. While cool, that's hardly an uncommon trope.
Then a dozen episodes later everyone's like 'Whitestars? Yeah, the prototype was badass, so we just kept building them and now we have a huge fleet, give us crews pls."
>>63487872
One thing Enterprise did have going for it was some great Vulcan ship designs.
>>63495234
Looks like some Star Wars prequel shit.
>>63489761
So, is that ship named after the city or the cookie?
>>63495376
Neither. It's named after the actress.
>>63495234
The ring shaped warp engine was a nice departure from the stereotypical nacelles.
>>63489255
These books were so comfy. I liked that the one that came out with Episode III had a sly mention of the Vong.
>>63495234
I actually liked the Vulcan Timeship in the reboot
>>63488990
definitely the prettiest ship

Based D'deridex design.
