Mulder would be happy go lucky about the whole thing, probably to Rust's disgust. After dealing with alien bounty hunters, black oil, and a plethora of mythical creatures, the conspiracies of man outside of the massive government conspiracy would probably seem easy to deal with.
Rust would be a complete wreck in the face of such positivity and jokes. Things would probably change in tone when they get in their first big gun fight, but the two of them are shown to be geniuses in their respective ways, so I think it would've all worked out well.
The REAL question is how would Marty and Based Skinner fare?
