Who would depict him?

Citizens United's movie about Hillary comes to mind. But let's leave it at that.

The movie will be boring more than anything if it's accurate. Obama's had a pretty unusual life but he's never been a driving force anywhere. From his weed smoking gang in Hawaii to Paki Marxists to Bill Ayers and even in the presidency Obama has been shaped by this around him.

He isn't even stupid (although he is incompetent), but he's arrogant, lazy, and incurious about the world.

Bringing the revival of populism, a man so profoundly unpleasant once you get past the first layer that the arid intellectualism of neoconservatism will be untouchable for years. Even Clinton and Bush were pleasant, maybe even well-intended men. He is to the neoconservative Democrats what Nixon was to the centrist Republicans.

The story of neoconservatism is a story of unlikely allies. Ultimately, neoconservativism is a Trotskyite mutation, and Trotskyism is all about ivory towers. Even if they pretend to be heartland Americans on the campaign trail, they are highly-educated Jews raised on Marxism and Zionism and that rings true in their ideology.

"Ask yourself, 'Are you better off now than you were four years ago?'" - Ronald Reagan

Me in 2008: Making $8/hr, virgin, living at home

Me in 2015: Making $20/hr, hooking up with a girl (she pulls the netflix and chill on me but we dont ever date, wtf?), living on my own in a cool city

According to Ronald Reagan, Obama has been a great president.

Groceries have gotten so expensive than unless you're pulling that frugal /fit/ shit (only eating oats, eggs, walmart chicken breasts, rice, frozen peas, etc.), you may as well just eat out most nights, which is what bae and I do.

For like $4 more I can go out to eat instead of buying all the fresh ingredients for a wholesome dinner, which takes a lot of time to buy, prepare, and clean up after.

Trump was born and third base and then hit seven more home runs. Then after the game he bought the stadium, bulldozed it, and built a casino where it used to be.

As far as who had the tougher struggle... neither of them really had to struggle. Trump ultimately did more struggling because it's just in his nature as a hyperactive spaz, but he and Obama are both children of privilege. Obama was born to a well connected family with deep ties to the banking industry and the CIA. These connections propelled him to the Ivy League, and from there he was repeatedly taken in by various interest groups who saw in him a useful puppet for filling their own goals. This is how most politicians rise through the ranks. The Bushes are all like that too, they are born to an old well connected family and then various sponsors, lobbyists, and assorted remoras put them into office so they can use them to advance their interests. It's been that way for ages and it's only frustrating in Obama's case because for some reason people want to believe he's different. He isn't. He's a mediocrity who was raised to where he is by people who stood to gain if an easily influenced person in high office owed them favors.

The irony being that the two parties work together all the time.

They both agree to bicker about rather meaningless social issues on purpose by the way. NSA funding? Oh they don't argue about that. Keeping third parties out of power? Oh they love to work together when that's the agenda. More voters? They both love more voters, since the more people who don't know anything about their country who vote the better.

It's ironic. A common perception is that the man has tried so hard to leave a historic mark, possibly because he's the first black president and that's supposed to be a Big Thing. Which is understandable, but he'd have done better trying to be a good president than a memorable one. Even in an age where we're seeing the rise of a goddamn Nazi-tier evil organization, called fucking ISIS of all things, the most iconic thing he's done is insist our biggest priority is climate change.

Also, does anyone know why he calls them ISIL instead?
>>
>>63468651
Isis is of Saudi power.

>>
>>63467077
I remember back during his first campaign deciding that I couldn't really vote for him in good faith, given that his entire platform was an appeal to emotion.

Didn't realize how right I'd be in retrospect. Blaming Congress and Bush for all of his setbacks didn't really bring about that whole unity thing he was preaching. Also it's kind of funny/sad that he's adopted most of the Bush era's most unpopular policies, given all his talk about hope and change.
>>
>>63468651
>Also, does anyone know why he calls them ISIL instead?
ISIS(Islamic State in Iraq and Syria) refers to the territory they actually control, while ISIL(Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant) refers to the larger region they wish to conquer, including Israel and Palestine. The organization itself prefers ISIL for understandable marketing reasons. Obama prefers it because 1) he's always had a goofy fixation on using the names and pronunciations of foreign states that the states themselves use, and 2) it pisses off the Israelis.

Republicans get mad when he uses ISIL because they think it legitimizes ISIS' ambitions or something
>>
>>63468831
Nigga the french and dutch were the first to insist on calling it ISIL, and it was an obvious western media propaganda push attempting to alter the conventional name that is used by the public for the sake of mission creep.

European media almost uniformly has been using ISIL ever since, american media less so because there is to a slight degree a larger relationship between our media and the actual colloquial usage of terms by the public.
