Better attempt at retro than fucking Kung Fury that's for sure.
I don't think bicycles were a good choice, even though hilarious at first.
Some scenes appeared too empty, lacking some finishing touches, especially the outdoor ones. Others were brilliant.
Also this may sound controversial but in this case i think modern, crystal clear HD quality was detrimental to final product.
I wouldn't know how to add a tasteful vhs filter though, or if a "tasteful" one would be even possible.

It was okay. Should have been a half hour short like Kung Fury tbqh.
The girl was cute.
There simply wasn't enough money, story or character to make it an interesting feature.
The idea is cute. For a faux trailer. But a feature long not-very-authentic homage/parody is a bit much to sit through if the film also isn't genuinely good.
