Capaldi is actually a good Doctor. Just not when he's paired up with Clara. The episode with him and Arya pulling a heist was probably the best episode of the season.

No, I unironically enjoyed the episode. Strong, brooding solo performance by Capaldi, good music for once, bleak and engaging atmosphere, and a good adaptation of the Shepherd Boy's third story, which had always been a favorite of mine. I know Hell Bent is gonna be disappointing from what I've heard, but the bottom line is Heaven Sent was a good episode, and by far better than anything Moffat's done in several years, especially when it's viewed as a standalone work.

I want an episode where the Doctor sets the TARDIS wrong and it is coming back at 2 in the morning. I want the Doctor and the companion in a bar the whole episode. The Doctor tells a story that happened in the 70's. Capaldi runs around as Doctor 4 fighting badly costumed aliens that are goofy as fuck. The next episode: "Remember that story I told you in the pub?" Scary as fuck versions of what we saw the previous week with decent effects.

I just feel the entire series was pointless, I was on the brink of not watching the entire thing and I wish I hadn't, Moffat completely ruined 12 episodes in one there, it could have been so much more but he gutted it of all worth and presented us a rotting corpse. I mean, we all knew Heaven sent was peak, we all knew this would be a let down in some way or another but to this extent? He's completely voided the past 3 months of Doctor who with this insult. Why would anyone choke up that bile and serve is as a serious piece of television? He needs to be struck off, he's done this sort of thing before but never to this extent, I feel like Moffat has just stuck a knife in me and just kept twisting until I had lost enough blood as to happily accept the gracious relief of death over watch another second of this abomination.Seven out of ten.
