Doggett saved the show. The whole time he was on everyone wanted Mulder back and then when Mulder did come back Duchovny was in full on no fucks given mode and it was obvious he should have stayed gone.
Doggett was as based as Reyes was awful.

It's a shame too, because I can totally see The X-Files coming up with a cool plot centered around videogames.
Like maybe a "hardcore" collective of gamers is discovered where the loser of each weekly LAN match is punished with group-inflicted corporal punishments, that eventually escalates to torture and murder. Similar to that "Hell Money" episode.
That would have been way cooler than stupid Virtual Reality nonsense.
Also, "First Person Shooter" is a cool title when removed from the videogame context, so that was another missed opportunity to make something cool.
