I actually liked this film, and thought it was better than Skyfall.
What's /tv/'s opinion?

Casino Royale > Spectre > Skyfall > Quantum Of Solace
>>63391112
SKyfall>Casino Royale (Based Mads) >Spectre> Quantum
The only patrician ranking
>>63391112
I enjoyed it But Sean will always be the best bond.
>>63391201
>skyfall better than casino
>>63391112
It was average at best. It had 3 writers and it shows that they weren't really able to co-operate. The plot was jumping randomly and it was stitched together really clumsily. Also the predictability was off the charts.

> skyfall>casino

i agree.
kind of puzzled by the spectre hate/general dislike, it's a much better film than most are giving it credit for. it's a genuinely moving film i think. others have touched on this, but the ending, where bond doesn't kill not by happenstance (as seems to be the case every other time) but by choice, and then goes to lea seydoux is very genuine and heartfelt. lea seydoux was easily the best part of this, the way she stares at craig is magnificent, the exchange of glances and looks (which are nearly brushed past by the relentless forward motion) become more and more touching the less they are focused on. when craig says "i would recognize you anywhere," it nearly brought a tear to my eyes.
of course, this also ignores the style of the film, which is not above coming off as silly and strange, like so many other, lesser films (see: nolan's filmography in general, and skyfall as well (which takes a lot from the nolan batman films i think)). the scene where waltz's character is introduced is both kind of chilling and hilarious at the same time. that every shot of him (until he looks directly at craig) is framed/lit so he is shrouded in shadow is amazing (flashes of early lang certainly, especially the two early mabuse films and some of the early american ones as well), and yet the idea of it is kind of silly. but this is where a lot of the pleasure is derived i think (similarly to some of the earlier bonds, which didn't place so much stock in seriousness or logic), from the shifting (and sometimes jarring swings) of tones, and the (often very funny) humor (quick note: ben whishaw is very good)
all this being said, i guess i can understand why this movie didn't please so many viewers; but i still think it's much better than many of the blockbusters of today (and most of the other bond films as well). and we can only hope for more bond women like seydoux and olga kurylenko (apologies to monica bellucci).
also
quantum=spectre>casino (just a bit)>skyfall
>inb4 the anon with craig bond meme
>>63391285
I dont get the skyfall hate? Bardem is by far the best villain? Attack on London? Whats the problem?
>>63391537
No hate, just casino was better
>>63391112
Casino Royale>Skyfall>Quantum of Solace>Spectre
Casino Royale > Quantum of Solace = Spectre > piss > shit > Skyfall
>>63391537
Skyfall = best Bond main titles
>>63391537
Both movies are similarly structured. First half involves international terrorism plot. Second half focuses on Bond facing the threat in a personal setting. The problem is Skyfall turns in Home Alone, rather than sticking to familiar Bond themes. It fails at being different basically.

I'm sure OP made the topic just to summon one of you retards.
>>63391112
Shit tier. The opening scene was absolute gold, the rest pure garbage
>>63392322
i really dont know about this kinda shit but is it true that aught seven is a code name? It could be anyone then right I mean it could be the Pakistani fruit monger from down the way
>>63392404
yeah, i guess it could be
IT WAS SMEE JAMES
THE AUTHOR OF ALL YOUR PAIN
It was fun. A nice break from all the grimdark crap that's in the cinema lately. It's not the best structured film ever but it's a great popcorn flick.
>>63392437
why was he so jovial and not scary at all
>>63391201
>Skyfall>Casino Royale
>unironically using 'patrician'
whats the point of james bond movies anyways? its not like he is gonna die or anything
Skyfall > SPECTRE > Casino Royale > Quantum Of Solace
This is the only correct order. Meme Royale has aged like a fine yogurt.
>>63391537
Silva was ridiculous.
He wasn't pitable or menacing when all of his plans just failed and what actually went right in them was straight up luck.
>>63392437
>It aint smee starts playing
>>63393145
agreed besides spectre its shit
>>63392983
oh no ur mad what a pleb
>>63391537
Bardem was the best actor of all the villains, but the villain was underwhelming as hell. Wasted potential
It's alright
>>63393213
probably true. The whole " I meant to get caught " thing was pretty weak but he was still the most compelling
