Was this scene completely out of character for Obi-wan?
>I need to give Obi Wan something to do as Anakin turns to the dark side
-George Lucas
this scene is a good example of what was wrong with the prequels, exciting set ups instantly boiled down to boring action

Not at all!

His hand looks so small
Was he trying to jab his enemy's eyes?

I thought that bit was invented for the Lego video game.
Reminder that Ewan's top acting skills redeemed the shitty writing.

>Grevious and Obi-Wan have an "epic" staredown complete with extreme closeups and Grevious saying "You are doomed!"
>This happens a minute after they've already started fighting and after Obi-Wan has shown he's the far superior fighter by cutting off two of Grevious's hands very quickly
What was Lucas thinking?
>Obi-Takes hilarious battle stance
>suddenly clones come in
>Obi-Wan takes hilarious battle stance yet again
I didnt understand that at all.

What's your point, friend?

Usually if you were going to do a staredown like that, you put it before the fight starts, to build up audience tension. You can put one in the middle of a fight, but if you're going to have the villain brag about how he's going to win, then the villain should be winning the fight and the hero should be back on his heels and struggling. If the hero is winning easily then there's no tension in the fight at all.
