Ava isn't evil. She's goal oriented. She was trapped and knew that there was more out there. She knew that her goal was to escape, and so she employed any means necessary to do so. The human was just a tool to get to that goal, and it worked. In this case, its just like a human sociopath. She doesnt know that what she's doing is wrong. It's just what will get her out and that's how she'll continue to act, acting on goals.
