Watching movies as a kid was always a lot more great. Firstly you didn't poke holes in everything like hurrdurr the clothes look bad etc. secondly there was this uneasy feeling because you were too retarded to predict what would happen. I was also really curious so I kept watching movies that were out of my age group and I got scared shitless every single time.

Saw this when it was new with my dad. He said it would be like digimon and Pokemon. I seriously found this absolutely horrifying - separated from parents who turn into pigs, protagonist turns into a slave working on a hotel, and then gets stalked by some scary as fuck ghost that eats people.
I still find cannibalism and stalkers absolutely horrifying to this day. Also, I find ancient Egypt scary because of Ramses in Courage.
