ITT: Scenes/movies you thought were scary as hell as a kid

pic related, I was 7 and it was the scariest shit I've ever seen. I expected something funny but I had the volume so fucking loud I literally shat my pants.

Watching movies as a kid was always a lot more great. Firstly you didn't poke holes in everything like hurrdurr the clothes look bad etc. secondly there was this uneasy feeling because you were too retarded to predict what would happen. I was also really curious so I kept watching movies that were out of my age group and I got scared shitless every single time.

Snik and eventually Boy from Little Monsters ruined me

the animated lord of the rings gave me mega-nightmares

like, waking up in a cold sweat from the intensity of the horror, so vivid i still remember it to this day.

I don't know, at this point in life something grabbing/biting from under my bed would be a nice break in the monotony.

LARGE MARGE?
>>
>>63333239
Saw this when it was new with my dad. He said it would be like digimon and Pokemon. I seriously found this absolutely horrifying - separated from parents who turn into pigs, protagonist turns into a slave working on a hotel, and then gets stalked by some scary as fuck ghost that eats people.

I still find cannibalism and stalkers absolutely horrifying to this day. Also, I find ancient Egypt scary because of Ramses in Courage.

>>63333610
yeah I've heard miyazaki be called the japanese disney, which is completely retarded considering how horrifying most of his movies would be to children, except like fucking ponyo which catered pretty hard to kids

I'm surprised how many people
1. Saw that courage episode
2. had exactly the same reaction

It's like they found some exploitation in child psychology

I want a tattoo of this strictly because of how many nightmares it caused. Also the aunts with the bug sprayers. Surprisingly the pirate skeletons didn't bother me.

that was legitimately horrifying

it wasn't just because you were a kid

what is it about large marge that's so terrifying? She was the only thing that legit gave me nightmares as a kid. We all got spooked by her.
