As a stand up comic, he probably doesn't realize that his voice may give off the impression he's actually serious because his act is that sorta aggressive tone he uses.
He's said before that in the podcasts that he tries to get the most out of what people believe, so like with the most recent podcast with the navy seal he never brought up the lead up to the war and how he stated it was bullshit while talking with another guest.
In my view, he's just always thinking he's wrong somehow so he'll outright agree with whoever is in the room so he feels accepted right then. To his credit it makes him a great host most of the time because he can pull so much out from a guest because mirroring and restating the persons argument to them is a technique they use in psychological therapy.
