How do they know Han's height is not changing? Maybe there's a Smaller Han?
And more importantly, how and why did Lucas have Mark Hamill and/or Harrison Ford cloned and genetically modified for slightly greater height years before he had ever thought of Star Wars just so he could have a slightly taller/shorter version that nobody would notice? Why go through all the trouble? Where are the clones now? Did he kill them after the movies as they were no longer needed, or are they chained up somewhere waiting to be injected into a couple of scenes in the new trilogy?
It seems crazy, but it's the only logical conclusion. It's not like the lens of the camera or the position of the actors relative to the camera or their footwear or posture can change from scene to scene.

Han is THE only reliable reference. It seems that Bigger Luke only comes into play when he's around.
strange thing is I sort of noticed this on my own when rewatching a new hope the other day. The scene where han and luke are hiding inside stormtrooper costumes I assumed han was the taller one. Then they take their helmet off and luke was actually the taller one, but in every other scene he's shorter than han.
