>it's a tony soprano talks to his hot therapist episode
>yeah lemme just go every week at the beginning and ending of the episodes to visit my shrink so I can indirectly tell my autistic audience everything they need to know about how I feel and what's going on inside my head
Quality TV.
I'll admit I startrf skipping the Melfi scenes on my 3rd watch of the series
Melfi scenes are hilarious to anyone with a decent education and at least average level of intelligence.
If you don't measure up? Work on yourself. Don't squeal with dismay whenever Tony sits down in that chair.
Better yourself.
God I haven't seen that pic in a while. I miss you cute angry asian lady.
it's a shit episode

who is this kawaii animu grill?
But the psychiatrist scenes are the best thing about the show
I'm on S2 currently and I really miss them
>Doc, I don't understand why kids are such ungrateful brats. I gave them everything.
>Doc, I don't understand why my wife resents me. Did I tell you about this broad I'm bangin' on the side?

it just underlines how tony is good at being a mob boss but fucking useless at anything else
the rash later on enforces it. he is defined by being a mobster, his lifestyle has long consumed him

Tony never talks about what's really going on inside his head. It's an unreliable narrator thing really, neither does Melfi give a real explanation for his behavior.

>tony is good at being a mob boss
go and pick your brain off the table in Holsten's Tony we all know it is you posting

literally stated in dialogue in the show actually.
there's a scene with Melfi's own psychiatrist where she acknowledges that Tony is Alexithymic, which means he can't really describe his own emotions.
