How are they gonna manage to tell the whole infinity's gems story without being too nerdy and losing the audience's attention or upseting them with x1000 references they don't get ?

I don't know much about comic books but it looks like a mess with the parallels univers story.

It looks overly complicated to connect Avengers/Guardian of the Galaxy and others franchises I don't know even of they are related to this arc.

the casuals are just gonna refer to him as the Purple Hulk aren't they? and Tony is gonna make fun of the purple isn't he?

Who is supposed to battle Thanos in the next Avengers movie ?

Iron Man - check

....

And ?
>>
>>63246581
There is no such thing as battling Thanos
There is only losing to Thanos.
>>
>>63247512
>There is only waiting until Thanos decides to lose
FTFY
>>
>>63247512

The same thing could be apply to Superman but they are making a movie about it if I recall correctly.

Wish they had bought Doom back and made them fight him instead.
>>
>>63247601
Why dr doom is so popular in geek's culture ?

He seems like a generic vilain in the movies.
>>
>>63247631
>in the movies
>>
>>63247631
antihero. the state of the world at the moment, the gradual collapse of society and all that, means people are primed to like antiheros.

imo
>>
>>63247631
done right dr doom would have been kinda like darth vader.
>>
>>63247664

I'm genuinely interested that a comicbook's merd explain me. Clearly he is not the most powerful so why ?
>>
>>63247631
I once asked that in a fan4stic thread and got an autistic wall of text about "beating the Beyonder" and shit. No good reason.
>>
>>63247673

Like a Magneto ?
>>
>>63247678
Anything star wars is automatically shit though
>>
>>63247562
Thanos has no reasons to hold back.
>>
>>63247724
yes like Magneto. it seems that most protags these days have a dark side. there are very few pure heroic protags out there atm
>>
>>63247733
It's treason then
>>
>>63247847
Same thing with how every spy movie now is also about fighting the corrupt agency and making it right.

I'd really like to see Superman get pushed up to that moral high tier but even he is told in his movies now he doesn't have to help anyone
>>
>>63247695
second most powerful sorcerer on earth, in the top ten smartest men on earth list and ruler of a nation seems pretty powerful to me
>>
>>63247907
indeed. the way Supes has been portrayed epitomises what im trying to say. He was basically a monster. some hero, destroying half of metropolis and smallville.. why not go to the gobi desert, dickhead.

anyway, antiheros are here to stay for a bit. lol even captain america has gone the same route
>>
>A space-basement grapebeard kills half of the universe because his deathfu doesn't care about him
>>
>>63247847
doom is much more cruel though.
>>
>>63246581
by the time he has the gauntlet he defeats all the universe deities,he loses because is a moron.
so he is bassically going to fight everyone.
>>
Guardians of the Galaxy 2 will be Thanos running around grabbing all the gems save for the one on Vision's forehead.

Finally in Avengers 3 part 1 Thanos gets to Earth and gets the Vision's gem. The Guardians of the Galaxy show up and eventually beat him along with the Avengers in part 2. All pretty simple stuff.
>>
>>63248617
So in the end the Avengers and the Guardians will learn to work together as a team?

I consider that you can be interested in mostly every arts form if you're curious enough but I find impossible to get into comics books. Maybe the cultural gap with amerifats is too huge.

The fact that Japanese comics are more enticing to Europeans than American ones really speaks miles about that

I think the only one under contract is Hemsworth,so Thor is definitely coming back. Iron Man is obvious because of RDJ, Hulk is obvious too, as is Spider-Man. Cap may or may not die in CW so I guess we'll see.

>THESE ARE THE INFINITY GEMS, THEY ARE THE MOST POWERFUL THINGS IN THE GALAXY

There you go.

Comic shit lore means nothing. Everything goes back to the status quo anyways. Why do you think Lex Luthor and Superman as well as Batman and the Joker have been circle jerking each other for decades now now?

Not really, they could use Nova, Asgard, Strange and hsi trips, Captain Marvel (Most likely because she's a human highly tied to Kree empire) etc to connect them--- As for the Netflix series they could use Nova (Usual friend with Luke Cage and Iron Fist), or Spiderman (He was Jessica Jones former crush, and friend of the whole Defenders rooster)

I mean I don't get the line, the humor. It's the cheesiest (and cracker) thing i've ever saw.

Comic books are really like that ? I thought it was targeted at teens.
>>
>>63249646
It was a common expression during 50s and 60s, like "Holy cow!" "Jesus!" "OMG!" etc....
>>
>>63249786
>Comic books are really like that ? I thought it was targeted at teens.
I prefer the term graphic novels and they are aimed at adults, as for "cheese and crackers", any normal adult would say the same when they loose their balance.

From 1974 to 1982, Marvel Comics published a comic book called Spidey Super Stories which was aimed at children ages 6–10. Every issue of Spidey Super Stories featured at least one story where Spidey would team up with an established Marvel Comics superhero and or fight an established Marvel villain. This served to introduce other Marvel characters to new readers who were unfamiliar with the company's characters prior to seeing Spider-Man on The Electric Company. Most of these stories would feature quick origins, usually taking up a single page or less, of both the featured hero and villain. Guest heroes included Iron Man (on several occasions), Captain America, Doctor Strange, Spider-Woman, Nova, The Cat and Ms. Marvel. Guest villains included the Green Goblin, the Blizzard, Jack O'Lantern, and even Thanos.

All issues were declared easy-to-read by Easy Reader in a stylized drawing on the comic's cover. To aid comprehension by young readers, the stories featured larger print and less complex stories than most comic books; in particular, Spidey Super Stories as a rule featured no more than four evenly divided panels per story page.
