Watched this over the weekend. It's pretty good. Better than the Daredevil show. However there was a lot of fluff surrounding some of the minor characters that helped to pad this out to 13 episodes. It easily could have been a about 8 episodes if they cut out the filler, and I think that would have helped.

After Trish likes her, Jessica starts to warm up to him somewhat but is still not very friendly, because shes like that with most everyone when she first knows tgem. Except Luke but they have a special connection, in more than one way :^)

I haven't watched all of it, but I found it funny how, whenever she fights someone, she trades one or two blows, then throws the opponent somewhere. The camera cuts to a wall and shows Jessica's enemy jumping against the wall, then cuts back to Jessica.

I just finished episode 9 myself. I'd say it's more watchable than DD so far. DD's arguably better, especially as a cape show, but it was a hard show to marathon.
JJ's beginning is a dull, slow burn, but once it gets going, it's a solid drama. Doesn't feel very cape-like though. Feels more like a 90s Woman on a Rampage movie stretched out into a series.
Villains wise, Purple-Man's basically like an evil Tenth Doctor. So, take that as you'd like.

The agenda pushing is heavy as fuck though, can't deny. All the positive male characters are black, almost all the relationships depicted are interracial, gay, or forced hetero white on white.
I could ignore it (after the first three or so episodes anyway) for it's dark and noir style (which wasn't cliche cringe stuff), some decent writing and acting, and actual moral ambiguity from about halfway through (which I'll admit deteriorated not long after it was introduced).
I don't regret watching it but I'll probably have forgotten it by next week.

I really hated it. It seemed to one note and dull throughout the whole thing. There were never really any twists and turns, it just stayed the same. Her powers also seemed very sporadic. Sometimes she could throw dudes across the room with ease. Other times she had troubles taking on like 2 random nobodies.
I will say that Kilgrave was fucking amazing and one of the best villains in MCU.
