Everything about Robert Rodriguez's movies are horrible.

But I like his visual style a lot.
He makes real life look like a cartoon.

That faggot who directed ironman 3, the worst one, who makes EVERY movie a Christmas movie. He even made ironman a Christmas movie and it came out in like may

Only Capeshitters hate Iron Man 3. Sorry that it was more concerned with being a good movie than an adaptation of a children's book.

I love that from him. That's my favourite trope of his, it works perfectly into his style.

Gaspar Noe?
>>
>>63206730
Hey, I don't fault you for liking it. It's just one of those quirks that sometimes crosses the line into genuine flaws.

For example, I enjoyed all these tropes in Moonrise Kingdom, but found them really irritating in Fantastic Mr Fox.

>plot development is replaced with random things happening seemingly for no reason and with no relation to other parts of the plot
>characters don't develop - instead, we simply learn more about them
>everything is subtle to the point where it feels like nothing happened at all

I'm kind of stretching here to try to describe the initial feelings I had after first viewing of a couple of his films. They have a weird way of leaving you thinking nothing of importance really happened.

>couldn't coax a good performance out of Daniel Day Lewis

This was pretty good
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gADayU4DP9U

Also, the point of a movie is to get the emotional response from you. If Lynch is skilled enough that he can achieve that without good actors acting, then that's even more impressive. Can manipulate the fuck out of you regardless of the material he is given.

I think this worked well for Inherent Vice, which is my favourite of his, but it's absolutely true for The Master, TWBB, and Magnolia.
>>
>>63206689
I love how he makes his own universes where everything makes sense in an Anderson kind of way. Most dialogues are way more probable of actually happening irl than those in most mainstream Hollywood flicks.
