So I've had about five days to sit on it, and holy shit I think this movie is fucking BAD. It's like a Roger Moore movie without any of the hokey charm. This is the worst Craig Bond movie of them all, it's even worse than Quantum of Solace. Please never fucking let Sam Mendes direct a Bond movie again.
>craig
>bond
>>63194179
dr bond, I'm galore.
Bond apologists will stop them learning from their mistakes again.
>>63194131
quantum was good
skyfall and this one sucked
royale was the best
anyone who thinks differently should just stop posting, or talking to other people IRL because you're probably just annoying them with your stupidity
>>63194131
Well i agree it was pretty fucking disappointing, but it still wasn't as bad as Quantum.
Though ruining the vilain, who actually represents Spectre, played by none other than Christoph fucking Waltz was fucking unforgiveable.
They even made him do a fucking "cookoo" joke!
Also, "it was me James, the author of all your pain" is gonna be one of the worst meme lines ever in the history of memes.
Right now, i think Craig shouldn't do an other one and let an other one make this franchise worse...those motherfuckers probably think they actually made Bond relevant again and it's so far from the truth.
Having Craig come back after driving off into the sunset would be awful. What did he even see in that girl?
>It's like a Roger Moore movie without any of the hokey charm.
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck you. It's like a good Brosnan movie. Keep your Moore comparisons away, Craig could never be that shit tier.
>>63194131
I personally love Skyfall but I can understand why a lot of people don't. That said Spectre feels like everything that went right with Skyfall went wrong here. I don't think it's really a bad Bond movie but I preferred the way Casino and Skyfall were taking the franchise then this. Maybe I just don't really appreciate Bond.
>>63194131
after rewatching Skyfall and QoS I came to the conclusion that the main issue with Spectre is that Bond reverts back to a mindless, smarmy killing machine
there's no emotion in the movie, it's just bond doing his job and banging some hot chick he has no chemistry with
>>63194131
I'm actually liking theBrazilfinish theory.
The Fiat commercial in the middle of the movie was the only thing in it I really didn't like. That said it felt like I was watching a Bourne movie with all the chase scenes but it's still better then Quantum
It's an old school Bond movie. A good one at that. I really enjoyed it.
Quantum of Solace
>65% RT score
Spectre
>64% RT score
I still can't believe they were given a second chance and managed to fuck it up again even more. It's almost as if the writers knew this shit was gonna print money anyway after Skyfall so they just wrote the most generic Bond plot imaginable and slapped some anime fanfiction-tier villian on at the end and called it a day.
>>63195232
>It's an old school Bond movie.
This. It has thrown off fans of revisionist Bond.
>>63194329
agreed.
1. Royale
2. Quantum
3. Spectre
4. Skyfall
Spectre was pretty entertaining tho, I mean it was a bit hokey, but it had some charm to it. Lea Seydoux was the hottest bond girl of the Craig series. Practically made Spectre for me.
I would happily marry Léa Seydoux. I love that woman.
>>63195292
>she was hot so she was good
more like worst bond girl
she was ridiculously underdeveloped and for no good reason falls in love with bond
this is literally almost die another day tier
casino is a 9/10
quantum 6.5/10 (would be like a 4 without kurylenko)
skyfall 6/10
spectre 3.5/10
>>63195629
>>63195545
y'all niggas is dumb
>>63195110
>>63195144
I've only seen spectre and die another day.
The problem with spectre was it was so forgettably bland. Just boring. Aside from a couple of token bond moments (shaken not stirred bullshit) it had no identity. Also as others have said, zero chemistry with the girl. It was believable when she said she wouldn't just have sex with him, because I felt how she was purposefully putting up barriers, but they just shat all over that for no real reason.
>>63194131
So many things were weak
>I became a supervillain because daddy liked you more
>HORRIFIC NEEDLE TORTURE that does nothing
>Let's escape the bad guy so we can catch a train to the bad guy's house on Africa so he can capture us
>YOU ALL BOUGHT IT, EVEN MY IMMEDIATE FOSTERFAMILY BOUGHT IT
>Where do we keep getting these tailored suits in 3rd world countries
>VESPER WAS THE LOVE OF MY LIFE ILL NEVER LOVE AGAIN o this blonde chick is qt
>Let's recycle the Mallory 00 programming being obsolete plot from Skyfall but play it completely straight and have the obvious bad guy actually be an obvious bad guy
It's as if half of you niggers have never seen a pre-Craig Bond movie.
>>63195647
I think a good way to describe the movie would be calling it "inexplicably rushed". Every single aspect of the story feels like it didn't get the time it deserved, despite this being the longest Bond film.
Also
>I've only seen spectre and die another day
Go watch the others. For the most part they are fun movies.
>>63195728
>it has an awful plot with a shitty villain and underdeveloped bond girl but it's ok because that's how they used to be!
cool
>>63195545
I said she was hot, not good. Her character was terrible. She was amazing to look at though.
>>63195545
>>63196092
she can't act and has a shit face
>>63195779
Yeah I'm planning to see the others.
>girlfriend asked me about the Skyrim movie they made this year
>confused as fuck, look for it for a few minutes
>realize she's thinking of skyfall
>she looks disappointed when I tell her it's another 007 film
Spectre is a major regression.
I found Craigs performance also very uninspired. He was cast to be this rough and tough bond but here he is playing this standard bond dandy.
I think it doesn't fit him at all.
I'm not going to lie, thetorturescene made me nautious and light headed.I was not prepared for that and the bright lights, the high pitched drill, and Waltz narrating the whole thing was an attack on the senses
Am I wuss?
>>63197111
It's probably the most sterile torture scene ever not to mention it left no lasting effects on Bond.
at least Chiffre knew how to get to the heart of the matter not some gussied up iTorture device.
>>63194131
I agree OP, I thought everyone was just being hyperbolic but this movie really was dogshit. How do you make Skyfall and then make this? Same director and everything.
I think it might have the worst action I've seen in an action movie in a while. It all just felt off and I was almost laughing when the score was just blasting as if something exciting was supposed to be going on and yet out hero isn't even close to danger and nothing even close to exciting is going on.
>>63197111
yes you are. Casino Royale's torture scene entirely wipes the floor with it.
>>63195692
ALSO WHERE DID HE GET THE AIRPLANE?
Was it obvious to anyone else that Spectre copied lots of its plot elements from MI: Ghost Protocol? It was like watching a shitty rip-off.
>>63197363
Actually I think you meant to say Captain America: The Winter Soldier
I thought it was fun, but the Blofeld stuff was stupid. Maybe if the previous movies had been building up to it, I would have liked it. But to have him show up and just say "IT WAS ME, JAMES", that didn't do anything for me. I'm your arch-enemy because I just said so!
>>63194329
Quantum? Good? Are you fucking joking me? This is an outrage.
>>63194329
>>63195292
This is correct. People only like Skyfall because it was the 50th anniversary and the fact that it was probably the first Bond film people saw.
