I think I've only seen the main Kong films, 33, 76, and 05, but there's no way 76 Kong outranks the original. 05 is pretty great though and is an overall underrated film.

For me I liked it when i was young, but now this movie feels just so bloated, not in runtime but the action sequences. It's so over the top that it's more tedious than the other scenes. The spider pit scene espcecially, it just killed the pacing

King Kong Lives is available with decent quality on YouTube. 1976 is on netflix insta. You'd have to look harder for the Japanese cut of King Kong vs godzilla (it's the much better version)

Haven't seen the 70s ones. I like Kong vs Godzilla but the effects are simply atrocious and it's not as crazy as King Kong Escapes.

Idk what the hell happened with the effects of KKvG. Godzilla movies always seem to know how to shoot miniatures well 90% of the time, granted the 60s weren't as good as later decades but still, the way some scenes are shot in he movie look just plain bad compared to the 50s movies
