In context of the story it fit well. Like, Ted's only gonna focus on how GOAT his dead wife is while talking to his kids. He mentions how they had fights, but he's not really gonna go into how they disagreed about this or that or how she wasn't so perfect.

Neither Victoria, nor Stella were really meant to be the Mother, but in early years show was under constant threat of cancellation so they used them as backup Mothers in case show ends early, starting with season 4 ratings improved and so every love interest for Ted had a less serious feel about them, because they were never considered to be a Mother
