The book was childish even if the idea of the mobile infantry was cool. All his political ideas are just terrible. The film was cool because it shat all over the ideas of the book.

People say that more these days because a lot of modern filmmakers are bad at endings. They try some stupid illogical asspull, or forget their movie is supposed to end so it just rushes to wrap up.
