Marvel released Winter Soldier in late spring and it made tons of money, Furious 7 had a spring release as well and it made shit ton of money too. Studios are finally seeing it more than just as a dumping month. Batman v Superman had a different release date originally but they changed it, it was originally coming out in July this year. Then they moved it to May next year, but that's the weekend when Civil War is coming out, so they changed the date again for it and that's why it is coming out in March.
It makes sense, it is their biggest release of next year, they'll want a window for it where it can open as big as humanly possible.
