I started watching this season after /tv/ saying how awesome it is and once again I was tricked. Trey and Matt have really ran out of ideas and I don't blame them, the show just isn't funny anymore, the jokes are over stretched, the plots rely way too much on social/political issues rather than jokes for the sake of jokes. This hasn't hit rock bottom like the Simpson but in a few years it will.

South Park blew up in last era it could have. Assecible shock cartoon in the late 90s got popular because internet access was still not prevalent and there wasn't much content still anyway. South Park was the only source for obnoxious shit humor and swearing for most edgy preteens at the time. The youth now grew up on 4chin gore threads and 'nigger' and 'faggot' being every fifth word they read on the internet. South park doesn't have that charm and niche it once did. That's why it's dying.
It's just not funny.
With the exception of the yaoi episode and Randy getting harassed about the donation it just has no actual jokes.
