I've seen it three times.
I won't say it's a good movie, it isn't. But there are some amazing elements hidden in there.
Like the question of David's sentience, and Noomi's hopeless quest. How poorly the engineers treat humans in mirrored in David's relationship to the rest of the crew, it's really great.
The religious symbolism wasn't just throwing in christ to make it deep either. In the film Jesus is just symbolic of another terrible parent child relationship.
Plus it's worth watching a second time purely for the visuals.
But then they spoil the whole thing with inane cannon fodder characters, goo that doesn't really make sense, and shitty action scenes.
It is a bad movie, but it's not worth hating. It's worth being sad about.
