Skins was alright to watch when you were a teenager in the late 2000s and hung around with scene kid party types. I always thought it was a bit cheesy but quite a fun show.

Season 1 and 2 are legit.
They do a great job in developing the characters and showing who they grow up to be. Tony and Cassie in particular are very well written.
It also helps that the show is good on the technical side with some pretty solid direction and impressive cinematography.
Skins isn't about kids partying and doing drugs, that element is there, but it's hardly the core of the show.
