Just watched the episode with the lumberjacks and the bugs. Solid episode. One of the stronger of s from season 1.
Why do the monster of the week episodes get so much shit? They're way better than the lame ass alien episodes.
For a show that has so much alien stuff in it, the alien stuff really isn't where the show shines.
ayy lmao

You're a fucking idiot, this is literally every other episode.

Imagine you're in the 1990s watching this show week to week, not having the benefit of being able to binge watch. It's was pretty frustrating when a lore episode might come up only once every one or two months, along with the fact the lore moved at a snails pace and became increasing convoluted by season 6 or so. A lot of this MoW episodes are great, but at the time they really seemed to slow down the overall pace of the story.
Lumberjack episode is good though, honestly most of seasons 1-4 are pretty outstanding.
>love Fringe
>dad used to love X-Files but I wrote it off as shitty 90s TV

it was the 90's, for some reason the idea was accepted that video games were the sole cause of every act of violence perpetrated by a minor
