What are the biggest chill inducing scenes in cinema. I'd say the final race in Speed Racer is up there, everytime I rewatch the movie it's almost as if I suddenly realize that this is the reason I really want to see it again.
>dat satisfying "GET THAT WEAK SHIT OFF MY TRACK!" that would be cringeworthy if it didn't have the proper buildup to it
>all those speeches returning and being even more meaningful
>"STOP HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIM!"
>that female reporting simply screaming in incoherent excitement at Speed winning
>those last two cars crashing into eachother in the most beautiful way
It's almost a religious experience.

Watched this movie on LSD and it remains one of the craziest experiences of my life.
I don't know why this movie was rated so bad, I thought it was great.
Can't enjoy this movie anymore because Wachowskis annoy the hell out of me and creep me out.
>>62999446
Yeah I never saw it I was put off by the rating and a trailer I saw do you think I should give it a go?
>>62999542
If you remember it's supposed to be a live action anime it's good. Critics didn't get that.
>>62999576
It really could have done without the spritle and chim-chim stuff. They get points for doing it justice, but it was just cheap filler in the manga/anime, and for a movie with as much going on as speed racer, filler is not what it needed more of.
>mfw my weeb bf hates this movie
yet he gives dbz evolution a pass because he loves those two niggers from shameless.

what's with all the attention whores on /tv/ lately? Can't you stick to /soc/?
>>62999908
Nope :^) I'm staying here just 4u bb
>>62999908
Too many attention whores on /soc/, so they spread out, to get more attention.
Containment boards don't work, they just attract more of the types of people being contained to the site and they spread.
>>62999939
Im loving all of this attention,I need these comments about a movie from an anonymous image board to keep me from comiting seppuku~
notice me senpai ;_;
>>62997853
Yup.
The last race was amazing, the main villains "I'm evil and greedy!" Speech was awesome, I was horrified and amused when John Goodmans face kept shifting like a lava lamp.
I don't think I could ever enjoy this movie without being in hallucinagens, it's such a feast for the senses.
>>62999535
> he lets his opinions of the artist get in the way of his enjoyment of the art
Tip top pleb
>>62999729
Could a fan edited version with those things edited out, or would it take too much out of the film?
>That part at the end of the grand prix when Pops realizes Speed is going to win and stands up
you can get the same feeling to a much greater extent when watching Redline.
Speed Racer was unremarkable apart from that final part of the final race.
>>63001725
Yes.Yes.Yes.
>>63001846
No one will watch Redline if you don't post webms. That always sells the film to normies
proud I saw this in theatersit was for ricci
>>62997717
I like that movie for exactly the same reason too.
I am going to say it's the last good wachoski
They might somehow recover from Jupiter. But I doubt if they can top this scene.

The end of the final race is incredible. You get so caught up in it that when you finally get to those two cars crashing and that swirl of red and white at the end, it's almost orgasmic.
>>62997717
i think this is the best scene in any movie ever and i always get goosebumps.

its not just about the visual
I always get chills in Interstellar when the music gets loud and we either see Matthew Mcconaughey crying (which happens twice) or we see him going into the black hole.
It's the mix of emotional climax and amazing music; the OST alone gives me chills sometimes
>>63003514
This is why I don't get the hate for the movie. For me, the payoff is great enough for me to forgive the poor dialogue. It looks great visually, has intense and emotional moments, and it's a pretty original story.
>>63003312
not that guy, but it was though, faggot.
>>63001657
they put a lot of important plot elements with the spritle/chim-chim stuff.
>>63003881
>>63003897
like spritle discovering that royalton put spearhooks in their cars.
>>63003555
Spirits within was the same way. Tons of absolutely beautiful, masterfully constructed scenes, movie holding them together was dogshit.
and interstellar's problem wasn't just dialogue, it was writing in general. As writing be more than just words comin from people moufs.
>>63003913
also waking everyone up when the ninjas attacked.
