There is some amount of exaggeration there. Its easier to say 'every day' than anything else.
I remember bane posting since about 6 month before the film came out. I saw the plane scene in a special promotional event at the IMAX theater. Almost immediately I started trying to settle exactly who Bane was a big guy for. That was what? 4 years ago? Think about that, Ive been baneposting for 4 years. There is a special place in my heart for you /tv/.
The main confusion behind this scene is really in regards to why CIA would even respond "You're a big guy" to Bane claiming he would be in extreme pain.
Did CIA grow up thinking larger sized men feel less pain?
Also, to a lesser extent, Bane even responding in that disjointed manner that it would be extremely painful for CIA is so strange. What if CIA changed the subject entirely from the leading question? Then Bane would have no opportunity to deliver the "....for you" part of "It would be extremely painful....for you." If CIA had changed the subject then Bane would just look weak.
The Nolan brothers have a lot to answer for with these odd lines of dialogue.

After months of careful thought and research, I believe I have cracked the meaning of the plane scene in TDKR. Nolan has interwoven poetry throughout the scene, the likes of which George Lucas cannot even comprehend.

Masketta man has obviously fed the names of the hostages to CIA, leading him to believe that two of the hostages are named Juan and Hugh.

This line puzzled me for weeks. CIA just called them Juan and Hugh - why is he now calling them both Juan? Then it hit me - Bane, Juan and Hugh are brothers: Bane Juan, Hugh Juan and Juan Juan. Pay close attention to their names because it becomes important later.

>"Hugh paid you to grab Dr. Pavel?"
(CIA is asking Juan if his brother paid him to kidnap Dr. Pavel.)

This is an in-joke between Bane and Hugh. Hugh Juan = huge one - Hugh was named because he was the biggest of the three brothers. By any standards Bane is a big guy, but his whole life his size has been overshadowed by Hugh, hence why Bane says he is a big guy, but only for CIA, not for Hugh.

The goal of the scene was to show Bane's ability to mastermind a situation, and that he had a mysterious long-term plan that he was capable of carrying out. Name is intelligent enough abuse and manipulate even the Central Intelligence Agency, beating them at tier own game, as part of his plan. Even when he appears to be losing you cannot be sure you aren't being fooled.
