Gutted that I just read on the other thread that HBO didn't pick up Devil May Know! How the hell can a show with the pedigree of Jenji Kohan, Gus Van Sant, Eddie Izzard and Karen Gillan attached fail to be worth the gamble; particularly with a premise that promised to 'push the boundaries even for premium cable'. The pilot alone featured "crows attacking humans, ravaging bodies, eating raw flesh, a group of women rubbing and penetrating their vaginas with broomsticks, a 15 year-old girl giving a handjob to a young man to make him testify in favor of her father, a hint of incest, raw fucking with love, a very violent rape performed by an Indian tribe…" Firstly, what are the chances/history of discarded premium cable pilots being picked up by someone else? Secondly, do failed pilots ever get broadcast or released/leaked or do they just sit forever unseen in some vault somewhere never to see the light of day again?
