It's a funny thing with the creators of south park and mormons. Because despite having the typical sarcastic/humor angle to it all, it is surprisingly accurate. The infamous mormon episode was, despite it all, pretty damn spot on, and had many little details that you would only know, if you were a member of the mormon church.
I havent heard anyone confirm my theory, but I think Trey Parker and Matt Stone must have had some mormon friends growing up, it would otherwise be pretty difficult to nail those details as good as they have.
