He'd been eating and drinking weird shit literally his whole life. For his entire life, people enjoyed watching him eat and drink fucked up shit and he did it with relative ease. If you had a skill that was easy for you that everyone freaked the fuck out over, would you not continue to do it?
Eventually, he did the shit he always had done and put it online and it blew up, suddenly he saw a response that was 100 fold greater than anything he'd ever seen ever. He made some money. He wanted to to do it full time. He dedicated his life to it, his wife left him in response instead of supporting him in something that she must have known he did, but was probably embarrassed at his large audience on the internet and didn't want to be associated with him. She was ashamed. Now he's living in a motel.
