The space battle in Endor and all the Luke/Vader/Sheev stuff is top tier and on par with Empire. it's just that the stuff with the Ewoks on the forest moon comes too close to genuine slapstick.

Anakin probably said he killed him. Palpatine backs him up and said it needed to be done. And why would that be suspicious that Palpatine wanted him to kill Dooku? He is just a politician and Dooku is trying to destroy the republic.

Anakin turns because he has already lost trust in the order, enters the room to see Palpatine in a submissive position and Mace STILL wants to murder him. Also, if you actually watch the goddamn movie, you will realize that he has been planting the idea of life giving into Anakin's head, which sways him to join so he can save Padme. Why does he stay? Because he is influenced by the dark side. Palpatine hasn't done anything bad to Anakin. He is his apprentice. Saved his life. Gives him a chance for ULTIMATE power, which he expressed he wanted in II. Why leave Palpatine after all he has done for him?
