Just got done marathoning Scrubs (not including the god-awful half-reboot that was Season 9).
Seasons 1 - 4 are GOAT televsion. I noticed things got a little silly and began lacking subtlety as soon as Season 5 started; wasn't surprised to go onto Wikipedia and read they had a big change in the writing staff that year.
It still hit all the right emotional beats, right until the very end, it just wasn't quite as good.

S1 and 2 are GOAT television. Focus on grounded stories based on everyday struggles of young doctors, not much else.
S3 is a bit less grounded and focuses more on inter-cast relations instead of stuff that could apply to any young doctor, but still fairly down to earth.
S4, where I am now, is definitely where the sillyness starts. It's a massive change of tone compared to the previous seasons.

if I remember correctly from my first time, I enjoyed seasons 1, 2 and 5 the most
3 and 4 were a bit less, but still great
8 was a bit less still, but better than the two before it and had a great conclusion, overall still great
6 was mediocre (highs and lows around though)
7 was pretty shit
So far, 1 and 2 held up, and 3 was a bit better / 4 a bit worse than I remembered, but nothing much different from my first impressions
