i hear ya man....that whole movie was just preaching. everyone had to have a bad ending cuz the drug is EVIL...
jared leto never bothered to find another vein til his arm fell off (and if you've ever seen "for real" people shoot dope they'll spend 30-90+ minutes poking 46 different veins trying to get a decent hit cuz those veins will just not work long b4 they become a leto-esque crater)
the black guy went to jail cuz he's black and that's what happens to black guys with drugs.
the mother (who really did nothing wrong and did everything legally) ended up batshit insane or dead or something, and all she wanted was her kid to like her while she felt good about herself doing legal shit.
and oh yeah, per usual the chick can throw heer body around and keep going on longer than everyone, but the movie suggested that she had it the worst cuz degrading shit.
oh yeah and when they did shit their pupils dilated instead of getting pinholed, but i always guessed they wanted it ambiguous if it was coke or heroin cuz it wanted to preach about all of the drugs it could.
fuck that stupid movie up its stupid fucking ass. such a letdown after pi.

Trainspotting was hard to watch, it was so depressing and true to life I felt like turning it off half way through. Do you really wanna see a sequel where the main characters are even more pathetic and depressing?
