Best movie of 2015
>>62796507
Well up till now. A lot of great films are still yet to come out
Bait: The Post
Inside Out was better.
>>62796507
"No".
Transcendence was a more interesting look at artificial intelliegence. Ex Machina is just a thin veil of sophistication over the same hackneyed Luddisms that have been applied to the concept since the beginning.
>>62797086
As was Fury Road
>>62797241
transcendence was about transhumanism and didn't so much as touch artificial intelligence, though.
ex machina was more about the concept of lightning in a bottle.
>>62797241
>>62797357
She wasn't an A.I. though, just a sophisticated chatbot
>>62796507
This year has been beyond shit compared to last year.
>best film of 2015
>NOT SICARIO
da fug
The Lobster
>>62797357
It was an AI built emulating his consciousness.
I guess it comes down to whatever is your interpretation the self.
>>62797420
agreed, but Ex Machina was really good. Best sci-fi movie in recent years
>>62797428
US GOVT pls go
>>62797086
>>62797290
Are you guys actually 13 years old?
>>62796507
The virgin screwed over Beardy, even after Beardy's warning came to light. That is why you should never think with your dick in Sci-Fi movies.
>>62796507
not even close mate
>>62797241
I didn't like Ex Machina but Trancendence was absolute garbage.
>>62797601
Go to Craigslist if you want to hookup with underage boys, you pedo sack of shit.
This isn't a dating site.
>>62797738
Why do you think that?
>>62797460
I've yet to see this, but I'm sure it's awesome.
So far, though, Ex Machina and Sicario are definitely my favorites of the year.
>>62797428
Fucking yes, what a film
>>62796507
What an achievement..
>>62796507
Nah, too many inconsistencies with the logic on keeping her in check. Ending sucked too.
>>62797481
It says something that Ex Machina could do a scene like that and not be shit
>>62796507
Sorry mate but we all know what the real best movie of 2015 is
superior robot movie
ex_machina was shit
>>62797406
Yeah? She fit the movie's definition of AI in every way
>>62797428
Seriously, watch this movie if you haven't
It starts off great but just gets better as it goes along
>>62798363
I haven't seen Ex Machina but I thought this movie was kind of boring. Had some neat concepts and good design though, definitely not unwatchable.
>>62798363
This was absolute ass.
You have a shit taste in everything if you really think like this.
>>62798343
>le ebin cartoon film is good meme
Just stop.
>>62798408
Autist logic:
>I don't like it, therefore it is shit/being shilled/Reddit/a meme
Repost this to keep /tv/ an autism free zone
>>62798425
They are awful films designed for children, somehow autistic people take whatever human emotion they can find in these 'film's and turn them into grand spectacles worthy of praise, because you know it being animated, it deserves it.
If anything, it's you that have autistic logic.
>>62798396
>Being a literal plebeian
Ex Machina was what we've seen countless times already. Automata was different and pursued the less taken route and in doing so became superior film.
I really question your right to an opinion on ANY films if think Ex Machina is so great when countless people managed to guess the ENTIRE plot from the teasers alone.
You probably found Automata to be "boring" showing you're really not up for this. Go watch some 'splosions.
>>62798463
You're the one that can't accept that people have different tastes mate. Stay mad
Autist logic:
>I don't like it, therefore it is shit/being shilled/Reddit
Repost this to keep /tv/ and autism free zone
>>62797428
Jesus fucking christ I just wanted to punch Emily Blunts character in the face the whole fucking time, what an insufferable cunt she was
Good movie though
>>62797810
Not him, but Transcendence pissed me off.
It had no one to relate to, the terrorists were underdeveloped and their leader was obnoxious. Plus in the end the AI wasn't really a bad guy after all. The characters were all dumb and predictable.
>>62796714
name them. don't say star wars.
>>62798592
Star Wars
>>62797460
>The Lobster
I really want to see it, but can't find it anywhere.
>>62797406
You'd have to ignore 90% of the movie and all of the subtext to come to that conclusion.
>>62797428
I love the way Benicio says Juarez.
>>62798592
The Revenant
I'd agree with OP
2015 was terrible for movies.
Maybe it is because 2014 was pretty good (my favorite since 2007) but damn I don't have one good thing to say about the year 2015.
>>62800070
You hated everything?
>>62798528
This. Worst part of the movie after her nigger partner perhaps.
So I rewatched this movie with my girlfriend recently, who normally isn't into science fiction type stuff, but she loved it.
In her opinion, Ava failed the true AI test by proving she was in fact just a cold machine for leaving domhall and using him, and that Nathans perimeters for passing the test were incorrect, because in his opinion, deception was the proof she was human. But that was because he himself was flawed and his idea of conciousness was therfore flawed.
I don't know if I agree, but I think she brings up a really interesting point. Did anyone else gather this?
>>62800359
Hate is strong word.
Indifferent and disliked most of the stuff.
I can't remember a movie released in 2015 that I enjoyed/thought was good.
>>62796507
Great concept, shitty execution.
>>62797428
Anyone notice the scene with the water bottle was mirroring a scene in Traffic also with Ben Toro in it? Remember? What was that about?
