Some people called this movie boring pornography, but I found it's exploration of what defines beauty and it's sci-fi, dark atmosphere memorizing. I was on my toes the whole time trying to make sense of all the small nuances as they came, and in that way I can see how some may be bored but what did you think?

It's almost a work of genius.
The way Scotland is made to look like a hostile alien planet.
The way working class men are made to look like prey animals.
The bizarre and effective SFX that somehow convey extradimensional phenomena using visual metaphors open to interpretation.
The play on themes of sexual predation, female exploitation, prostitution, wrapped up in a genuinely alien alien's story, told without words.
The only thing that stops me acknowledging this film as true genius on par with 2001 is the last act. The outsider trying and failing to integrate... Somehow it became boring and predictable.
Still probably best science fiction of the last 10 or maybe 20 years...
