Someone had a Siskel & Ebert thread last night and I found this site with a bunch of their episodes.
Fascinating to see how many movies weren't just bad, but completely forgotten by people.
Their yearly 'worst of the year' lists are a nice compilation of the (mostly) garbage:

watching the 1982 one now.
whoever recorded and uploaded it left in the commercials... which is actually pretty amazing.
There are ads for RCA's failed vinyl "Selectavision" stereo video disk.

Also an ad for Memorex vhs tapes.
Of course, the main thing is watching these two condemning what they feel are absolute trash.
They talk about the sequel, actualy "a prequel", of the Amnityville Horror.
>a video site for a specific thing.
man that takes me back

Yeah. It uses some smaller video player / site. Though thought I had found some S&E vids on YouTube at various times.
anyway, moving into 1983's stinkers.
Pretty sure this opening is beyond what I remember of the show.
> The subject today is going to be: Sequels.
> The subject today is going to be: Sequels.
> See. Wasn't it less interesting the second time?
>They're remaking a good film, but then all we see are the crass business decisions that lead to an inferior product.
Good thing they've stopped doing that!

Now they're lamenting about how shitty the resurgence of 3D is and how it's just never technically impressive nor are the movies themselves good.
Thank goodness that hasn't happened again or anything!
mfw they made a Smokey & The Bandit movie without The Bandit

> The only motivation behind it it was the box office success of Smokeys part 1 & 2.
> This is probably the first time in history that people have been asked to pay money to see an annuity in action.
and certainly the last... right guys?
This popcorn ad tickled the nostalgia bits of the memories in the back of my brain

What a gent.
And a damn fine pop corn.
Thanks OP
I'll make sure to check some of those. As a non-American I never saw their show, but I love yearly things like that. Past's perception can be fascinating
Huh. They said PeeWee's Big Adventure was the worst movie of the year.
