I think it would just be fine for me to watch a gay-themed movie that doesn't have an unhappy ending. most that I can think of generally have such a bleak conclusion, as if love between two men is bound to failure and tragedy.

Not really attractive guys here but an interesting almost David Lynch like atmosphere, dark and a lot of explicit shots. Can't believe that it was released uncut in cinemas.

but he actually did make a gay movie: Strangers on a Train (1951). obviously with lots of subtlety due to the time of its release, but it definitely does have a gay subtext/homoeroticism in it, though i'm not sure whether what he meant with that movie was to condemn homosexuality or just to depict it.
