Comedy has been fucked, it's literally nothing but drug humor to attract dumb stoners, reference humor in order to make people think "Wow, I remember that, that was funny!" and then have a silly stereotype to look edgy, when really they don't really do any jokes or anything creative with it, other than "Haha, he has the jew star on him, he's jewish, get it?". Just the fact that people are eating up the big bang theory and everyone is starting to copy Adult Swim makes me want to vomit, it's only a matter of time until some shitty movie about 4channers comes out and people eat that shit up because "I don't understand anything in the movie, but it has internet humor, so it must be automatically funny."

I must be one of the few people on Earth who actually prefer Holy Grail. Life of Brian has many hilarious moments, and does some great commentary, but I simply prefer HG's more absurd, fourth-wall-breaking humor. Some of LoB's sketches are longer with more text, and while they're still funny, they're not as easily memorable as HG's.

Same. Rewatched it not too long ago, and while it's certainly not bad, shit feels tame and predictable now. I don't understand how LoB caused the shitstorm that it did at the time. The humanistic views expressed go as far back as the Renaissance and religious satire is pretty much a mainstay of western civilization these days.
